Shoolini University Researchers Discover Phytomedicine for the Treatment of Skin Disorders

Researchers at Shoolini University in Solan have discovered an exceptional phytomedicine for the treatment of skin inflammatory disorders like psoriasis and eczema.

They have also filed a patent entitled Improved vesicular formulation of thymoquinone for the treatment of dermal inflammatory disorders and methods thereof.

Dr. Poonam Negi (who has filed the patent along with other two inventors Charul Rathore and Ishita Sharma as the co-inventors) is an assistant professor at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has done her PhD from University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University Chandigarh.

The current invention of thymoquinone that shows anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects has shown an enhanced therapeutic activity when shown on animal models.

Shoolini University envisions maintaining the protection of Intellectual Property Rights to the highest international standards.
