LT Foods announces manufacturing facility in Raichur, Karnataka

The facility will cater to regional rice varieties, including Sona Masoori and Kolam

LT Foods has announced a new manufacturing facility in Raichur, Karnataka, for regional rice varieties, including Sona Masoori and Kolam. Varieties such as Sona Masoori and Kolam are staples in South Indian households, with Sona Masoori enjoying widespread acceptance beyond Karnataka, in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and among the global Indian diaspora.

The new facility will have an initial estimated production capacity of 30,000 metric tonne per annum. Commercial production is expected to commence around February 2, 2026, subject to the receipt of necessary statutory and regulatory approvals. The project entails an estimated capital expenditure of Rs 6 crore, which will be funded through internal accruals.
