GFI India launches startup manual for smart protein products

This is the first of its kind document that should help India achieve 100x growth in this sector in India

The Good Food Institute (GFI) India in Mumbai has launched a Startup Manual - an exhaustive one-stop resource that contains all the guidance an entrepreneur needs to create innovative smart protein products, from finding the right team, to registering their company, and finally developing and launching their innovative products.

This is the first of its kind document that should help India achieve 100x growth in this sector in India, enable the launch of a home-grown alt-protein unicorn that can compete with companies in this space across the globe.

The launch was announced during the Smart Protein Summit (being held virtually between October 6-10, 2020) bringing together key stakeholders in business, innovation, scientific research, and policy to transform how we make our food.

The Summit is India’s largest event advancing the development of plant-based, fermentation-based, and cultivated protein, also known as alternative protein or smart protein.

Hosted by the Good Food Institute India, the Smart Protein Summit is supported by sponsors ADM, AAK, Vega Foods, RichCore, PURIS, DuPont, and Wenger.
