Evolva Holding SA, a global player in sustainable, fermentation-based approaches to ingredients for health, wellness and nutrition and Cargill, an international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services have signed an agreement to co-develop a sustainable, customisable, and cost-effective fermentation production process for a second family of high-value food and beverage ingredients.
This additional collaboration between the two companies is modelled on the first partnership signed in March 2013 to develop next-generation stevia ingredients (steviol glycosides). This second family of high-value ingredients is unrelated to stevia. In the initial phase of the new collaboration, Evolva expects to deploy 5 – 7 researchers. Evolva and Cargill will share costs.
