RP Sanjiv Goenka invests for a minority stake in health food startup True Elements

RP Sanjiv Goenka has invested Rs. 5 crore for a minority stake in health food startup True Elements in a pre-series A round. It said in a statement that the startup also saw participation from its existing investors as well.

Founded by Puru Gupta and Sreejith Moolayil in 2014, True Elements offers a range of snacks and natural supplements that it claims are completely natural and inspired by grains and seeds consumed by our ancestors.

The firm has previously raised Rs 1 crore from angel investors in 2015.

The capital has been raised primarily for new product development, marketing and Go-to-market both digital and offline, the company said.

The brand has so far had predominantly been in the digital space. It currently sells mostly through digital marketplaces, apart from its own website.
