Speciality enzyme manufacturer Biocatalysts has invested £6 million to expand its newly-opened enzyme production facility in Cardiff, UK.
Biocatalysts manufactures a range of speciality enzymes for a variety of industries, including the food, flavour & fragrance sectors.
The expansion will add a further 11,000 square-feet of manufacturing space to the factory, and the new production area also offers future expansion capacity.
According to Biocatalysts, the next stage of the expansion will be to upgrade the machinery at the facility, and the company will add a new fermenter and a down-stream processing machine to enhance its production operations at the site.
