Varsha Joshi takes charge as NDDB Chairman

Varsha Joshi, Joint Secretary (CDD), Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Govt of India has taken over charge of the post of Chairman, National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) with effect from 1st December, 2020, until further orders.

Joshi took over the position after Dilip Rath, whose tenure as chairman of NDDB ended on 30 November 2020. Rath took premature retirement from the IAS service to join NDDB as Managing Director in 2011.

Varsha’s previous assignment was Commissioner, North Delhi Municipal Corporation. She has earlier been Secretary Power as well as Commissioner Transport, with the Government of NCT Delhi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt of India, and before that, Director with the Census of India. Infrastructure, Urban Planning, Gender Issues and Leveraging Data for Development are her major areas of experience and interest.
