FSSAI introduces quarterly reporting for expired and rejected products
The first plant is set to contribute substantially to enhancing food processing capabilities within the state
ITC Limited, a diversified conglomerate in India celebrated the foundation laying ceremony of ITC’s two new state-of-the-art facilities at Sehore, Madhya Pradesh in the presence of ITC Chairman Sanjiv Puri. The facilities were inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The first facility, a state-of-the-art Foods plant, will produce ITC’s globally acclaimed Indian brands, including Aashirvaad, Sunfeast biscuits, and ‘YiPPee!’ noodles. It is set to contribute substantially to enhancing food processing capabilities within the state.
The second facility, specializing in Moulded Fibre products, will take a pioneering role in sustainable packaging. This initiative aligns with ITC’s commitment to environmentally responsible practices and sustainable solutions.
Speaking at the event, Sanjiv Puri, chairman of ITC, stated, “In line with our commitment to contribute to the socio-economic development of the state, we are now investing in two world-class facilities, including the Integrated Food Manufacturing and Logistics Facility and the Sustainable Packaging Products Manufacturing Facility at Sehore. The facilities will also be landmarks in sustainability with the units being designed to IGBC #greenbuilding Platinum standards.”
