Rajeev Ranjan takes charge of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying

He is also a Member of Parliament representing Munger in the 17th Lok Sabha from Janata Dal (United)

Rajeev Ranjan, also known as Lalan Singh, from the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United), has been appointed as the Minister of Panchayati Raj and the Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying. Previously, BJP’s Giriraj Singh held these positions in the former government.

Rajiv Ranjan Singh, alias Lalan Singh, born on January 24, 1955, is an Indian politician who has been serving as the 11th Minister of Panchayati Raj and the 3rd Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying since 2024. He is also a Member of Parliament representing Munger in the 17th Lok Sabha from Janata Dal (United). Previously, he was the national party president of JDU (Janata Dal-United) from July 31, 2021, to December 29, 2023, and the former JD(U) Bihar unit President.
