PepsiCo brings Doritos Flamin’ Hot to Romania

This comes in response to the numerous requests of Romanian consumers, expressed on social media

PepsiCo, one of the food and beverage industry leaders, announces the launch of the new Doritos Flamin’ Hot in Romania, adding an explosive new flavour to its Doritos product portfolio.

This comes in response to the numerous requests of Romanian consumers, expressed on social media, who wanted to experience the famous spicy flavour, known and appreciated in other countries.

Flamin’ Hot Doritos offer an intense sensory experience with a spicy flavour that challenges the senses of anyone brave enough to try. This innovative product is manufactured locally at the PepsiCo factory in Popești, using 100 per cent corn grown in Romania. This localisation of the corn source for products across the Doritos portfolio not only supports local agriculture but also has a positive impact on the environment, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 1,900 metric tonnes per year and shortening transport distances by approximately 1,400,000 kilometres, compared to the supply from another European country.

“The launch of Doritos Flamin’ Hot in Romania is proof of our promise to offer innovative and bold products that meet the preferences of our consumers. We are excited to bring this iconic flavour to our portfolio and offer Romanian consumers a unique taste experience and intense,” said Vlad Vladescu, PepsiCo East Balkans Snacks Marketing Manager.
