Captain Fresh acquires Polish salmon company Koral

The goal of the acquisition is to expand Captain Fresh’s presence in the European seafood market, especially in the lucrative salmon segment

India-based Captain Fresh, a business-to-business (B2B) seafood provider, has acquired Koral, a Poland-based salmon company. This acquisition is Captain Fresh’s third major acquisition this year, following its purchases of CenSea in the United States and Senecrus in France.

The goal of the acquisition is to expand Captain Fresh’s presence in the European seafood market, especially in the lucrative salmon segment.

Koral, founded by Boguslaw Kowalski, is part of the Graal Group, a well-known fish-producing and processing firm. The company specialises in producing and distributing smoked salmon products under the brand SuperFish, serving both domestic and international markets. Koral claims to have 26 production lines and processes 120 tonnes of fish daily. This acquisition is in line with Captain Fresh’s strategy to enhance its portfolio with high-quality, value-added seafood products.
