A number of small and big packaging firms are going above and beyond in reimagining the packaging and making it more greener. In conversation with NUFFOODS Spectrum, Vandana Tandan, who has been leading SIG Combibloc India Private Limited, Noida, since November 2018 as Head of Markets, India and Bangladesh, shared the recent developments at the company, and about its future plans. What recent developments do you recall the most at SIG Combibloc India?
We have recently organised a waste management awareness programme at DPS Faridabad. With this event, our ‘One Ton School Accreditation’ programme has now covered 12 schools across the National Capital Region (NCR). The ‘One Ton initiative supports our commitment to creating a sustainable society for future generations. As a responsible packaging company, we are making an effort to promote sustainable practices by spreading awareness about waste management and segregation. In this initiative, students and faculty members were educated about the importance of effective waste management and segregation, as well as the appropriate methods for handling it.
