Awshad fuels India’s medical cannabis revolution with 30% revenue growth

Awshad has rapidly expanded its footprint, forming collaborations with hospitals, clinics, and luxury spas

South Delhi-based medical cannabis wellness startup Awshad is marking its 3rd anniversary this September, celebrating impressive milestones that reflect the growing acceptance and demand for medical cannabis in India. Over the past year, Awshad has achieved 30 per cent revenue growth, with expectations of an additional 40 per cent rise by year’s end. Their high-quality, clinically tested, vegan, and gluten-free products have also driven a 60 per cent expansion in their customer base, with growth trends of 60-65 per cent continuing into 2024.

Awshad has rapidly expanded its footprint, forming collaborations with hospitals, clinics, and luxury spas to bring its products to a wider audience. While self-funded, the company is actively exploring opportunities with strategic investors who share their vision for revolutionising wellness through medical cannabis. Currently, 90 per cent of Awshad’s sales come through its website, with the remaining 10 per cent through select pharmacies, further contributing to its steady growth.

As a leading brand in India’s emerging medical cannabis sector, Awshad is tapping into the profound therapeutic potential of medical cannabis, drawing on ancient Ayurvedic traditions. Recent studies highlight its effectiveness in managing chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, epilepsy, cancer symptoms, multiple sclerosis, and mental health disorders, offering a compelling alternative to conventional treatments.
