Amway India Enterprises reported a net loss of Rs 52.78 crore for FY24, while its revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,283.75 crore, according to its RoC filings. Total income, including other income, rose slightly by 0.7 per cent to Rs. 1,293.97 crore.
In comparison, the company recorded a net loss of Rs 21.72 crore in FY23, with operational revenue at Rs 1,278.69 crore, as per data from Tofler. Advertising and promotional expenses dropped significantly by 25.5 per cent, from Rs 81.93 crore in FY23 to Rs 61.03 crore in FY24. However, royalty costs payable to its US-based parent firm increased by 4.06 per cent, reaching Rs 65.74 crore compared to Rs 63.17 crore in the previous year.
Amway India clarified, “No royalty was paid to the parent company in FY24; the amount has only been accrued in the company’s books for the year.”
A subsidiary of Alticor Global Holdings Inc., Amway India reported total expenses of Rs 1,347.37 crore in FY24, marking a 1.64 per cent decline from FY23. Revenue from its ‘Nutrition and Wellness’ segment edged up to Rs 782.40 crore from Rs 779.75 crore. However, revenues from ‘Personal Care’ and ‘Home Care’ fell to Rs 219.04 crore and Rs 123.57 crore, respectively.
The ‘Beauty’ segment experienced a nearly 13 per cent decline, generating Rs 109.76 crore in revenue. Meanwhile, revenues from ‘Cookware’ and ‘Atmosphere Drive’ products plunged by over 50 per cent, registering Rs 8.17 crore and Rs 3.78 crore, respectively.
