Inside BENEO’s new pulse plant: pioneering sustainable protein from faba beans
The Filo Series is crafted from biodegradable, food-grade paperboard designed to withstand grease, moisture
In a fresh push toward sustainable packaging, ITC has launched Filo, a new line of plastic-free, compostable food packaging that aims to prove eco-conscious doesn’t mean underperforming. Developed by the conglomerate’s Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division, the Filo Series is crafted from biodegradable, food-grade paperboard designed to withstand grease, moisture—and growing scrutiny over single-use plastics.
A sleek digital campaign backs the range and targets food delivery, FMCG and other sectors under pressure to reduce plastic waste. Filo offers businesses a scalable alternative that doesn’t compromise on safety or functionality. Think pizza boxes with a conscience and pastry trays that are as compostable as they are sturdy.
Filo reinforces ITC’s ongoing commitment to a circular economy. The company, plastic-neutral since 2020, is now doubling down with packaging innovations like Filo and the commissioning of a moulded fibre facility in Madhya Pradesh.
With certifications for both biodegradability and recyclability, the Filo Series is positioned as a future-forward packaging solution—one that aligns with tightening regulations and the growing consumer demand for sustainability.
