Suresh Narayanan to head Nestle India as Managing Director

Nestle India Ltd, announced on July 24 that Etienne Benet, Managing Director, will be leaving the company on July 25, 2015 and relocating to Nestlé Group Head Office in Switzerland. The company further said that it has received nomination from Nestlé S.A. for the appointment of Suresh Narayanan as the Managing Director of Nestle India Ltd. with effect from August 1, 2015. In the meantime, Narayanan will function as a designate. The proposal is subject to necessary approvals.

Narayanan joined the Nestle Group in 1999 in India. His international career began in 2003 with several assignments in South East Asia. From 2005 to 2008 he was Head of Sales for Nestle’s South Asia Region, where he spearheaded major structural and strategic changes in sales and customer management. More recently he was Market Head of Nestle’s North East Africa Region where he achieved significant business growth in a turbulent and volatile market environment. Narayanan is currently the Chairman and CEO of Nestle Philippines. Narayanan holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a Diploma from the IMD Program for Executive Development.
