Herjit S. Bhalla has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of Hershey India. Bhalla brings extensive experience in building consumer, food and retail brands and is an accomplished industry leader.
Prior to Hershey, Bhalla was working as the Chief Operating Officer North & East, at Metro Cash & Carry Pvt Ltd. He was leading the growth and expansion initiative for Metro in the key markets for North & East India.
Earlier, Bhalla was associated with Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Unilever Russia. At Unilever Russia, he was managing a seven brand portfolio including segments of tea, savoury and spreads. Bhalla was leading the UL Tea business in the biggest and most competitive tea market globally & single-largest UL RUB category. He was responsible for re-launching a full portfolio in 2011 – 2012.
Over a period of 17 years, Bhalla has gathered experience in Brand Management, Brand Building, Promotions and Media Planning, Marketing Plans and Strategy, Portfolio management, Sales and Distribution Management, Distribution Strategies, Customer management, Cross functional team leadership, Project management.
