India aims to conserve camels and unlock potential of camel milk industry
The Sami-Sabinsa Group, which manufactures and markets phytonutrients and standardized herbal extracts, specialty fine chemicals, and organic intermediates used in the nutritional, cosmeceutical and food industries, was honored with ’Best Manufacturer Exporter Award Gold’ in the Large Category at the 13th Export Excellence Awards organized by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), Bangalore.
Export-Import Bank of India Managing Director David Rasquinha presented the award to Mr. Shaheen Majeed, President worldwide, Sabinsa, assisted by Mr. K Ravi, President, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI).
“We are honored to win this award, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our workforce and the international presence of Sami-Sabinsa,” said Mr. Majeed. “It reinforces our commitment to continued investment in our manufacturing facilities throughout the world, and to remaining a global center of innovation and manufacturing excellence.”
The Export Excellence Awards are presented annually to the top exporters from the Indian state of Karnataka for their outstanding performance. FKCCI was founded in 1916 to promote business development in Karnataka, which today is one of the leading states in exports from India.
Earlier this year, the company was also recognized by the Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics & Dyes Export Promotion Council (CHEMEXCIL), set up by the government of India’s Ministry of Commerce & Industry, with the Certificate of Merit Outstanding Export Performance Award for the year 2016-17.
