The 10th edition of Fi India & Hi trade show will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from October 19 –21, 2015. A B2B platform for the Indian food and health industry, Fi India & Hi offers the industry an opportunity to source high quality ingredients, network with industry professionals, learn the latest industry trends & innovations, and expand their market share.

Fi India provides a series of free, on-site seminars with speakers from leading trade associations across the globe. These specialized seminars will cover a range of topics from the growth of nutraceuticals and functional foods to licensing in the Indian food market. And because nutrition and wellness is a fast-growing trend with no end in sight, Health ingredients (Hi) has created a powerhouse exhibition that will provide a complete 360 perspective of the health, nutritional and wellness industry. The technical seminars on Day 1 will be conducted by AFSTI, the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India). Their sessions will cover “Compliance for the ingredients industry” and will discuss general compliances, analytical compliances and FSMS compliances.

Also, in addition to the high-level ingredient suppliers showcasing their products, Fi India will once again host the previously successful Expo FoodTec Pavilion. Responding to the growing need for solutions in processing, packaging, equipment and services, Fi India will once again include this popular pavilion giving attendees the ability to source solutions for a more complete range of needs.

For the second year, Fi India & Hi introduces a Free Bakery Workshop. The workshop will take place on the October 19-20. The workshop will be conducted by Assocom Institute of Bakery Technology & Management (AIBTM), a comprehensive teaching, training and research centre specifically for baking technology and allied disciplines. The workshop will include both seminars and demonstrations. Some of the topics covered include; nutrient dense bakery products, oat based cookies and gluten free cookies, gluten free challenges and egg replacements in baked goods.

This year there will also be a Bakery Competition called “The healthy cookie baking competition”. This will be open to anyone who works or has worked professionally as a baker or in the baking, cake, pastry or chocolate industry. Registrations for this competition are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
