On account of World Food Day, Equinox Labs is celebrating Food Week from 12 to 16 October 2015, to spread awareness on food safety and thus ensure hygienic food production and consumption.

Over the past few decades, the manufacturing process and consumption of food has significantly changed. The recent obsession with street food tends to increase the chances of getting infected by communicable diseases. This stresses the importance of ensuring that our food is not contaminated with harmful bacteria and chemicals, according to Equinox Labs statement.

Ashwin Bhadri, CEO of Equinox Labs, says, “Food safety and hygiene education is crucial as a majority of people suffer from food or water borne diseases in their lives. It is possible to change the current scenario, and is high time we did something substantial to bring a change in our society.”
