Sabah Maldives Cooperative Society has participated in the recently concluded Annaporna World Of Food India to boost its productivity by using advanced machinery and technology. This three-day event from 14-16 September, 2017 witnessed the participation from various states and Indian food & beverage companies.

Sabah Maldives, a cooperative initiation brought into inception with government and public as its shareholders, in a creative approach to introduce productivity and locally made products will actively be acquiring technical skills from experts as well as inspect adequate raw materials and necessary production aspects for developing the corporation.

According to the Deputy Minister of Economic Ministry, Abdullah Mohamed the Cooperative Society took part in the fair in order to identify business opportunities and provide necessary craftsmanship skills for the employees.

Discussions will also take place in order to seek opportunities to bring trained personnel to Maldives for further training sessions. The fair is organized by India’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Deputy Minister highlights the machinery and equipment used in Indian manufacturing hubs would that were detailed in the fair is a sound investment – which would be imported to Maldives in order to provide technological advancement in general production manufacturing, such as the production of curry powder.

The International Exhibition for Food, Beverage Trade Catering and Retail Market under World Food India started at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai.

Several businesses in the food and beverage market have taken part in the fair while the Maldivian delegation had met with the Minister of Food Processing and Export Council to discuss trade.
