Monsanto India Limited, which is now a subsidiary of Bayer has appointed Mr. Cherukuri Ravishankar as the Managing Director for its business across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
He will assume responsibility from Ms. Shilpa Divekar Nirula from September 22, 2018.
Ms. Nirula moves on to a senior leadership position at the parent company Bayer. However, she will continue to remain a Non-Executive Director of the company.
Mr. Ravishankar who has earlier been a Non-Executive Director of the company has been instrumental in conceptualizing and implementing strategic initiatives in commercial and modernizing supply chain operations of the company. He brings with him twenty-one years of experience across multiple functions including commercial, strategy and supply chain as well as multiple industries Agriculture Inputs, Consumer Products, Consumer Durables and Consulting.
