Padukone will own equity as a part of the deal.

As part of a strategic partnership, bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has invested in Drum FoodsInternational Pvt Ltd, the maker of flavored yogurt brand Epigamia and she also will be endorsing the brand.

According to media reports, the company in a press statement has said that the investment will be used by the firm to expand into new products and enter new cities. This investment is an extension of the recently closed Series C round of funding led by Verlinvest, a Belgium-based consumer-focused investment firm, Danone Manifesto Ventures, the venture investment arm of one of the world’s leading food and beverage companies, and DSG Consumer Partners, an Asia focused VC fund,” the statement said.

Padukone will own equity as a part of the deal.

Recently, bollywood actor Sunil Shetty invested in the pune-based  fitness and nutrition start up Squats which claims to have 70,000 paid customers and a cumulative revenue worth $8.5 million.

Wellnes and fitness have witnessed high interest of celebrities. Recently, actors such as Malaika Arora and Jenifer Lopez invested in Mumbai-based fitness startup  Sarva.
