CFTRI is partnering with KHPT for transferring and implementing fortification strategies in about 20 wheat milling units.

CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Karnataka Health Promotion Trust (KHPT) to work towards addressing malnutrition through fortification.

As per the MoU, CFTRI is partnering with KHPT for transferring and implementing fortification strategies in about 20 wheat milling units.

CFTRI has developed and transferred technologies on fortification of wheat flour, and fortification with added micronutrients like minerals.

Very recently, CFTRI also celebrated National Technology Day with the theme- ‘Science for people and people for Science.’
