Appoints New CFO and CMO

India’s largest fresh food brand, iD Fresh Food, has decided to continue investing in human resources to create more value for the business and emerge stronger from the pandemic.

The Bengaluru-based company announced two new appointments where Jaipal Singal joins iD as the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Rahul Gandhi as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Both roles are critical in shaping a more resilient business for the post-pandemic world.

Commenting on the appointments, Musthafa PC, Co-founder & CEO, iD Fresh Food, said, “It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Jaipal and Rahul to the iD family. These are difficult times and more than ever before, we need clear and compassionate ways to create more value for what we do. As an essential services provider, iD has been at the forefront of the COVID-19 battle, ensuring easy access to fresh, healthy, home-made food for all. The pandemic has spurred customer demand and we are committed to fulfil it, even as we take utmost care of the safety and health of our employees. I’m confident that under the able leadership of Jaipal and Rahul our finance and marketing teams will come up with disruptive solutions to tackle the current challenges.”

Jaipal Singal will be heading iD’s finance department in India and UAE. His last assignment was with Urban Ladder as the CFO. Armed with 15 years of experience in diverse industries, such as manufacturing, retail, B2C business and e-commerce, the chartered accountant has a strong vision to lead iD to its next phase of growth.

Jaipal Singal noted, “Unlike most businesses that are hit hard by changes in consumer behaviour as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, iD has been proactive in adapting to the changed reality. An agile business has the power to not just survive, but thrive in an uncertain economy. I’m excited to be a part of this fascinating journey with iD.”

Rahul Gandhi, the newly appointed head of iD’s marketing department in India and UAE, is equally excited about joining the pioneering fresh food brand. Having completed his Bachelors in Engineering from NSIT Delhi and post-graduation from IIM Kozhikode, Rahul comes with 15 years of experience in various roles across brand management, trade marketing, in-store marketing and sales & distribution of multiple FMCG businesses with ITC Limited.

Rahul Gandhi said, “As a brand, iD has a phenomenal growth story. I look forward to working with the passionate team – remotely for now – and creating newer narratives for strategic growth and customer engagement. It’s not every day that one gets to work with a brand that thinks beyond the economic impact. iD campaigns and social messaging are truly powerful, especially in the present scenario when the world needs more compassion and gratitude.”

Funded by Premji Invest, Azim Premji’s investment arm, and Helion Venture Partners, iD Fresh produces and delivers a wide range of ready-to-cook, fresh Indian foods. The company currently has a strong team of over 1500 employees across India and UAE.
