Azkoyen develops air touch technology for coffee vending machines

The user can select the product from a safe distance of up to 2 centimetres, thus avoiding any contact

The Azkoyen Group, a Spanish technology multinational based in Navarra, specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced technological solutions, has developed and patented Air Touch technology for their automatic machines such as coffee vending machine, which allows the user to obtain the products without having any contact with the surface of the machine, adding safety and hygiene to the purchasing process.

The mechanical push-button or touch-screen panels on vending machines, which are often a focal point for the spread of bacteria and viruses, are now being replaced by new technologies that work remotely, such as the Air Touch technology featured in Azkoyen Group machines. Thanks to this, the user can select the product they want from a distance of up to 2 centimetres from the surface of the selection panel as shown in this video.

In addition to contactless payments and other related payment systems, the Azkoyen Group also has the Pay4vend electronic payment technology which allows remote payment using mobile devices.

The health and safety measures enabled by Air Touch, Contacless and Pay4Vend technologies will improve consumer confidence in the use of vending machines, ideal for work and hospitality environments.
