Ministry of Cooperation sign MoU with Swiggy Instamart for onboarding of cooperative dairy
Employees to be supported and provided jobs within or outside company
The Netherlands based FrieslandCampina Dairy Essentials will be shutting down its Rijkevoort site with the intention of shifting its production within its network and to incorporate the new developments in the field of milk volume developments. The production facility in Rijkevoort produces, among other things, filmed-ripened cheese.
According to Hans Meeuwis, President FrieslandCampina Dairy Essentials, the company was constantly looking for ways to further improve their position with regard to milk processing, value creation and cost optimization keeping the long term in mind.
As a result of the closure, no new jobs will be created at other sites of FrieslandCampina. The employees and trade unions have been informed and the works council has been asked for advice. This decision has a major impact on the employees and the company will support them, he added.
The Social Plan of FrieslandCampina will apply to employees with an employment agreement for an indefinite time. FrieslandCampina will support the employees involved in finding a new job within or outside FrieslandCampina.
