Dr Vaibhav Kulkarni elected ILSI Global Assembly’s private sector Chair

Dr Kulkarni is a part of Abbott Nutrition Leadership Team at Pacific Asia

Dr Vaibhav Kulkarni, Director and Senior Leadership Team Member – Regulatory Affairs, Abbott Healthcare, has recently been elected the Global Assembly private sector Chair of the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) in the US.

The election for the Chair was held following the resignation of earlier Chair Dr Teruo Miyazawa. Dr Kulkarni, who represents ILSI India in the ILSI Assembly, contested and got elected.

ILSI is a non-profit, worldwide organization whose mission is to provide science that improves human health and well-being and safeguards the environment.

Dr Kulkarni is a part of Abbott Nutrition Leadership Team at Pacific Asia. He was appointed to his current role in April 2009. Previously, he served as Head – Regulatory and Innovation and was an Executive Committee Member for Novartis OTC Division.  

Prior to joining Abbott, Dr Kulkarni worked for various blue-chip organizations including Novartis, Johnson and Johnson Medical, and Sanofi Aventis. He possesses a wide range of robust experience of more than 20 years managing drug regulatory affairs, clinical research, innovation, drug safety and pharmacovigilance. He is an active member of various industry bodies like FICCI, CII, HADSA and PFNDAI.
