The company has announced the launch of a premium variant of pouch milk under the Select variant
Kolkata headquartered multinational conglomerate ITC is focusing on expanding its range and footprints for pouch milk and other fresh dairy products in the eastern region in the next few years. ITC will focus on going deeper into Bihar and Bengal.
The company has announced the launch of a premium variant of pouch milk under the Select variant, which will offer consumers a daily quality assurance report through a report card for milk. Consumers can enter their batch number on Aashirvaad Svasti’s website to receive the report card. The Aashirvaad Svasti Select milk has been made available in Kolkata.
According to the company, ITC enjoys an 8-10 per cent market share in the fresh milk category while in the value-added categories market share is expected to be higher.
Sanjay Singal, Chief Operating Officer – Dairy & Beverages, ITC, said, “We would like to expand our range & footprint in Bengal & Bihar.” ITC entered fresh dairy with Aashirvaad Svasti in February 2018, sourcing milk from 5000 farmers.
