Nutrify India noted that the journey of identifying key journalists started in October 2020
Nutrify India, a Mumbai-based platform that enables business in the field of responsible nutrition recently celebrated its one year in operation by honouring 11-star journalists from across the world, including four journalists from India for their contribution to the field of the nutrition industry. Journalists from Europe, the US and Australia were also honoured in the virtual event.
The journalists from India who were awarded include -Milind Kokje, Chief Editor, NuFFooDS Spectrum, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Private Limited; Shankar Raj, Senior Health Journalist and Former Editor of The New Indian Express, Karnataka; Nikita Bhalla, Editor in Chief – Hello Health Group and Manjari Chandra – a renowned wellness coach and Nutritionist from India, who launched Her Book ’Eat Up Clean Up’.
Celebrating the occasion as International Nutrition Journalist Day, Amit Srivastava, Chief Catalyst- Responsible Nutrition Business, Nutrify India said that some journalists in the nutritional field have been active in identifying key innovators and give them a platform to get their innovations noticed and their great value addition. Since supporting innovators not only brings innovations faster to the market, they also help create a larger wealth and impetus to the growth of the industry.
Nutrify India noted that the journey of identifying key journalists started in October 2020 by reaching out to 8000 executives of the nutrition industry who are members of Nutrify India.
60 per cent of the executives belonged to start-ups and small to mid-sized industries who felt a positive impact in their business with active support from journalists. 20 per cent were from large companies, 10 per cent from innovators in academia, and 10 per cent worked in the allied industry. 120 days of reference, cross reference, validation, revalidation exercise got the first set of Journalists who got the highest vote from the survey mix.

- Manjari Chandra – Leadership with Cause Journalism Award (Going beyond the call of duty and publishing books to assist the nutrition ecosystem, and providing responsible nutrition support to media, and dieticians wanting to take up the entrepreneurial journey in nutrition products)
- Milind Kokje – Innovation Leadership in Nutrition Journalism Award (Shaping the Indian nutrition and food industry through a dedicated stream and providing the small to mid-sized companies the right exposure to expedite their commercialization in India)
- Shankar Raj – Lifetime Achievement Award (Continued upliftment of health and nutrition field)
- Nikita Bhalla- Entrepreneur Award (India) (Empowering nutrition startups in entrepreneurship and promotes domestic and international nutrition journalism)
