Founder speaks–
“We faced several obstacles while kickstarting our startup journey. With no background in the food tech industry, and little knowledge of having a startup, setting out to launch a completely new product in a market as diverse as the Indian consumer market was very difficult. Starting R&D of the product during COVID-19 for a product launched for the first time, we had no reference points. This led to countless trials, in-depth research, and recipe permutations and combinations. Not having the right equipment was a big obstacle for us. The equipment being extremely expensive, we had to build our own oven which gave us successful results. Our startup being bootstrapped, there were several times we faced financial crunches. However, that is what inspired us to approach investors for funding. In a country like India, where 73% of the population is non-vegetarian, we have estimated more than 1 million unique customers as per our market research. The average cart size is around Rs 700 and in the first year of our operations in 2022, we have projected revenues of Rs 1.47 crore and a growth rate of 30% p/a.“
