Mondelez International appoints Samir Jain as President of India biz

To scale India business with his experience coupled with cross-functional leadership

US-headquartered Mondelez International has roped in Samir Jain as President of India Business. He will take over the role of Deepak Iyer, who has now been elevated to serve as EVP and President- AMEA region at the company starting in early June.

Jain, who was previously associated with Bunge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) for the past one decade, will be reporting to Iyer starting this August. He will be representing India and will be a part of Mondelez AMEA Leadership Team.

In the past, Jain also worked with Hindustan Unilever’s consumer goods business for a period close to two decades and across categories and functions, and then went on to become the Vice-President of the laundry category in 2012 and later also served as global finance director for Unilever’s hair category in UK.
