ZappFresh meat delivery platform raises Rs 30 CR investment 

The fresh capital will be used for acquisitions, expansion and infrastructure upgrades across northern and southern pockets

Meat Delivery Platform ZappFresh has raised INR 30 CR investment from ah! Ventures High Tables Platform, ah! Ventures Fund, HT Media, Unity SFB and Heifer Impact. ah! Ventures has done 203 investments in 125 startups to date taking its total investment portfolio to INR 434 CR ($54 million) with 16 exits and follow-on rounds. 49 investments have happened through all three platforms and the fund in 2023.

The fresh capital will be used for acquisitions, expansion and infrastructure upgrades across northern and southern pockets. The startup also plans to roll out new product lines soon

Founded in 2015 by Deepanshu Manchanda and Shruti Gochhwal, Zappfresh procures meat from farms and claims to deliver it to the end customer in 90 minutes once the order is placed. Zappfresh is currently operational in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru.

“This collaboration will not only help us expand our reach but also build more traction in our diverse product portfolio, which includes poultry, goat meat, seafood, and ready-to-eat products,” said Zappfresh co-founder, Manchanda.

Earlier in July, it acquired Dr Meat, a brand operated by Sukos Foods, to expand across the South Indian market. Zappfresh is aiming for an overall revenue of INR 300 Cr by the end of FY24, with a revenue target of INR 70 Cr in Bengaluru alone.
