United Breweries Limited (UBL), India’s largest beer producer and a key division of HEINEKEN, has announced that Heineken Silver and Heineken Original are now available in retail stores and bars across Karnataka. This move is part of Heineken’s broader strategy to expand its presence in India by offering premium products that enhance the consumer experience. Importantly, the Heineken brand will now be brewed locally at the Nanjangud Brewery in Mysuru, Karnataka, adhering to global Heineken standards.
India’s beer market is increasingly shifting towards premium mild beers, with consumers showing a growing preference for unique, high-quality options. Heineken aims to cater to this demand in Karnataka, leveraging its reputation for quality and consistency. Heineken Silver offers a smooth, easy-drinking lager experience with a crisp and subtle finish, while Heineken Original is celebrated for its balanced taste and rich fruity notes—both of which have been well-received internationally.
Heineken beer, crafted using just three natural ingredients—100 per cent pure imported malt, water, and hops—continues to uphold its global reputation for excellence. The brewing process, which incorporates a special A-yeast discovered in the 19th century, ensures Heineken maintains its signature slightly fruity and balanced flavour. This distinctive taste is achieved through horizontal brewing and extended fermentation times.
