Gemini Edibles and Fats India partners with Sree Annapoorna Foods

This new venture aims to produce and distribute masalas, meal mixes, and other products

Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd., a leading sunflower oil company with a 21.7 per cent market share in India (under the brands Freedom and BeRite), has partnered with Sree Annapoorna Foods, one of the country’s oldest spice processing brands, to establish a joint venture named GEF Foods India Pvt Ltd. This new venture aims to produce and distribute masalas, meal mixes, and other products.

Sree Annapoorna Foods has long been known for capturing the authentic flavours of regional dishes, bringing the richness and traditional techniques of home-cooked food from across India to consumers’ plates. Their speciality products include pure spices, regional blends, blended spices, and biryani masalas.

On the formation of this joint venture, Akshay Chowdhry, Group Vice President of Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd., expressed enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to partner with Sree Annapoorna Foods to launch GEF Foods India Pvt Ltd. Gemini Edibles and Fats India are entering the spices market through GEF Foods Pvt Ltd as part of its diversification strategy.
