Godrej Agrovet acquires full ownership of Creamline Dairy

Godrej Agrovet Limited has successfully acquired the remaining 48.06 per cent stake in Creamline Dairy Products Limited (CDPL), thus gaining full control of the company. The acquisition, valued at Rs 930 crore, was approved by the board of Godrej Agrovet and will make CDPL a wholly owned subsidiary, according to the BSE filing.

Creamline Dairy, based in Hyderabad, is a prominent private dairy brand in southern India, widely recognised for its Godrej Jersey brand. The company specialises in the procurement, processing, and production of dairy products. For the fiscal year 2024, CDPL reported a turnover of Rs 15,405 crore, underscoring its significant market presence.

Godrej Agrovet views this acquisition as a strategic move to expand its footprint in the dairy sector, particularly by enhancing its value-added product offerings. The transaction was executed at arm’s length and supported by an independent valuation report.
