Good Monk raises $2 Mn in pre-series A round to boost nutrition innovation

The newly secured capital will be directed towards research, development, and expanding their product portfolio to deliver more effective, clinically-backed nutritional solutions

Good Monk, the flagship brand of Superfoods Valley, has successfully raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment was led by RPSG Capital Ventures, with continued support from existing backers Multiply Ventures, Sharrp Ventures, and ThinKuvate. This follows an earlier funding round of $841K raised from Multiply Ventures and other investors.

The Bengaluru-based startup, co-founded in 2022 by Amarpreet Singh Anand and Sahiba Kaur, offers a comprehensive lineup of health-focused products, including multivitamins and probiotic blends, fibre supplements, and over 50 specialised nutrition mixes for seniors. Good Monk caters to the health and wellness needs of consumers across kids, adults, and seniors.

The newly secured capital will be directed towards research, development, and expanding their product portfolio to deliver more effective, clinically-backed nutritional solutions. Good Monk, which recently gained national attention through its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4, clinched a deal with Vineeta Singh, co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics.

With a strong emphasis on nutritional transparency and social responsibility, the brand contributes a share of its sales to mid-day meal initiatives for underprivileged communities. Good Monk’s products are available via its own website as well as popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. The brand claims to have witnessed an 11x growth over the past year and is actively broadening its digital presence.

RPSG Capital Ventures, known for backing health and wellness ventures like Nutrabay, Plix, and True Elements, adds Good Monk to its growing portfolio in the nutrition space.
