Speakers position India as a premier global destination for culinary tourism

The Ministry of Tourism organised ‘Reviving the Culinary Treasures of India’ event on the sidelines of World Food India 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

During the inaugural ceremony, Suman Billa, Additional Secretary and Director General, Ministry of Tourism, articulated a compelling vision to position India as a premier global destination for culinary tourism.

The session was also addressed by KK Pant, Principal, IHM, Pusa and Dr Chef Rajeev Goyal, President, India Food Tourism Organization.

Discussion were held on reviving forgotten food traditions, highlighting ancient cooking techniques, and exploring the export potential of indigenous ingredients. India Food Tourism Organisation (IFTO) is the knowledge partner for the event

The event served as a vibrant platform to celebrate India’s rich culinary heritage.
