Chirag Paswan unveils AWL Agri Business’ Qisse Kuchh Khaas book on basmati rice

Launched at World Food India 2025, the book was authored by Prof Pushpesh Pant and Celebrity Chef Kunal Kapur

AWL Agri Business has launched Kohinoor coffee table book, Qisse Kuchh Khaas, authored by celebrated food historian Prof Pushpesh Pant. The event was organised in association with FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) to mark the occasion.

The book was unveiled by Chirag Paswan, Minister of Food Processing Industries, along with Angshu Mallick, MD and CEO, AWL Agri Business, in the esteemed presence of celebrity chef Kunal Kapur, at World Food India 2025, held at the Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The book features 15 handpicked recipes that highlight the versatility of Basmati rice in its diverse forms, offering readers an immersive culinary journey.

Angshu Mallick, Managing Director and CEO, AWL Agri Business, added: “Kohinoor has always stood for authenticity, tradition and taste. Prof Pushpesh Pant, author, Qisse Kuchh Khaas, said, “Basmati rice is perhaps the most eloquent example of India’s culinary identity. This book is my humble attempt to chronicle the fascinating journey of Basmati — from royal courts to humble households, and to preserve its stories for generations to come.”
