Shah appreciates the steady growth of producer organisations in the region and highlighted the strategic importance of Nagpur for NDDB, NDS and Mother Dairy
Dr Meenesh Shah, Chairman, NDDB, inaugurated the new office building of Marathvarhad Milk Producers’ Organisation (MPO) in Nagpur. Varsha Chauhan, Chairperson, Marathvarhad MPO; Dr CP Devanand, Managing Director, NDDB Dairy Services; JT Chary, Deputy Managing Director, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable; Dr Shivkumar Patil, Chief Executive, Marathvarhad MPO; and senior officers of NDDB, Mother Dairy and NDS were also present. Chairman, NDDB interacted with the Board of Directors of Marathvarhad MPO and also presented employee recognition awards.
In his address, Dr Shah appreciated the steady growth of producer organisations in the region and highlighted the strategic importance of Nagpur for NDDB, NDS and Mother Dairy. He recalled NDDB’s long-standing engagement with farmers of the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions during challenging times, aiming to strengthen livelihoods and create sustainable opportunities.
Dr Shah also commended the rise in milk procurement, the formation of a women-led producer organisation and the region’s overall progress. He outlined NDDB’s expansion plans, including setting up a Mother Dairy unit and advancing cattle development initiatives. “NDDB will continue working for the welfare of farmers and society. Together, we will soon reach the 10 lakh litre mark,” he said.
