Globally, the nutraceuticals category is regulated as food, however, the focus for regulating nutraceuticals lies in enhancing quality and compliance. The CODEX Alimentarius Commission serves as a global benchmark for food regulatory frameworks including for Vitamins and Minerals, Food Supplements, Food for Special Dietary Uses (FSDU), Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMPs ) for their manufacture and marketing, ensuring safety and quality.
