Strengthens cybersecurity for consumer-connected ecosystems in Bengaluru
Deloitte India has unveiled ConnectSafe, the country’s first-of-its-kind cyber-security facility in Bengaluru designed to safeguard connected ecosystems, with growing relevance for the rapidly expanding consumer technology sector. As households and consumer environments increasingly adopt connected devices—from smart appliances and home automation systems to wearable technology and digital platforms—the risk of cyber vulnerabilities affecting everyday life continues to rise.
The 4,500 sq ft facility provides a live environment that simulates real-world cyber-threat scenarios across industries, including consumer ecosystems, enabling organisations to test and strengthen security controls without disrupting live operations.
With the rapid growth of IoT-enabled consumer devices and digitally integrated lifestyles, cyber threats are no longer limited to traditional IT systems but increasingly affect physical environments and everyday products. ConnectSafe allows companies operating in consumer technology and electronics to test vulnerabilities across connected devices, applications, networks, and cloud platforms. The facility also demonstrates how cyber breaches can unfold in real-world consumer environments, helping organisations proactively design safeguards to protect users, devices, and digital services.
“ConnectSafe represents a bold step in shaping the future of India’s cyber resilience. This immersive facility reflects Deloitte’s commitment to building world-class, future-ready cybersecurity capabilities from India for a rapidly digitising world. As industries become increasingly connected—from smart factories and power systems to vehicles and medical devices—cyber threats are no longer limited to IT systems; they directly impact the operational backbone of our economy. Through ConnectSafe, organisations can experience real-world threat scenarios, gain deeper visibility into emerging risks, and strengthen safeguards to protect critical infrastructure, operations, and innovation,” said Romal Shetty, Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte South Asia.
Highlighting the growing need for proactive cybersecurity in connected environments, Gaurav Shukla, Partner and Leader – Cyber, Deloitte South Asia, said, “Built in India for India, ConnectSafe is Deloitte’s cybersecurity innovation hub where the physical and digital worlds come together. With connected technologies accelerating and cyber disruptions growing more complex, our facility enables organisations to proactively test, validate, and secure next-generation systems—from micro-level components to large-scale infrastructure. By bringing together advanced cyber testing, threat intelligence, and system validation capabilities, we help organisations strengthen cyber preparedness, build resilience, and stay ahead of evolving threats.”
