Food processing incubation centre becomes functional in TNAU

A Food Processing Incubation-cum-Training Centre has been established by the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Agribusiness at the TNAU’s Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute, at Navalur Kuttappattu in the city.

 

The Centre would promote food processing activity and impart skills and techniques on food processing for budding entrepreneurs.

 

The facility has been established at a cost of ₹1 crore, with a building and necessary training equipment.

 

The first training programme was held recently and six budding entrepreneurs from Tiruchi and Pudukottai districts underwent training on production of millet based bakery products.

Selvam, Professor of Agricultural Economics and Executive Director, Agro Marketing Intelligence Business Promotion Centre, interacted with the participants.
