Inside BENEO’s new pulse plant: pioneering sustainable protein from faba beans
Nestlé SA has opened a new quality assurance lab in Araras, Brazil, as the brand seeks to increase its organic product portfolio in the country.
Nestlé claims it invested BRL 23 million ($6.95 million) to construct the facility.
The facility will check the brand’s organic produce to ensure that it is free from pesticides and genetically-modified organisms.
Initially the facility will serve Nestlé’s markets in Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, and Argentina, but the brand claims the facility could go on to be its main quality assurance lab in Latin America.
