UK-based ingredient supplier Cambridge Commodities has acquired the ingredient business of US-based wholesaler Earth Circle Organics. Cambridge Commodities has been engaged in the supply of nutritional ingredients to the sports nutrition, health and well-being, nutraceutical and animal nutrition industries across the US and Europe for two decades.
Earth Circle Organics intends to integrate its raw and organic superfood ingredient business with Cambridge Commodities’ US arm to create a new division, Earth Circle Ingredients, upon the deal’s completion.
The acquisition will allow Earth Circle Ingredients to access Cambridge Commodities’ supplier base for more than 2,500 nutritional ingredients, as well as its product development expertise and technical teams.
Additionally, the deal will enable Earth Circle Ingredients to expand its product portfolio with vegan and dairy proteins, natural extracts, and fruit and vegetable powders.
