The Campaign was organized among the rural women and youth to celebrate the World Milk Day on 1st June, 2019.

The ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar organized an Awareness Campaign on “Dairy as a viable livelihood option for income and employment generation” at its campus recently.

The Campaign was organized among the rural women and youth to celebrate the World Milk Day on 1st June, 2019.

The main aim of the campaign was to sensitize rural women and youth towards the potentials in dairy as an enterprise.

The campaign held a group discussion with the villagers in Tara Khas village in order to educate them on the various aspects like the milk production, its consumption, marketing and its impact on the various facets of their life viz., income, employment and health.

The participants were educated on how to convert the fresh milk after processing into various products viz., paneer, ghee, that help them to fetch higher income for improving upon their socio-economic status.
