National Research Centre on Meat inks MoU with Karnataka Govt

With the MoU, the Centre has provided the structural design and specifications for the Mobile Meat Vehicle Unit.

The ICAR-National Research Centre on Meat, Hyderabad has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Karnataka Sheep and Wool Development Corporation Limited (KSWDCL), Government of Karnataka. The MoU has been signed for the implementation of mobile meat stall scheme for SC/ST community and train the scheme beneficiaries on the hygienic meat production and processing.

With the MoU, the Centre has provided the structural design and specifications for the Mobile Meat Vehicle Unit.

During the occasion, the Capacity Building Programme titled Skill Development Training on Hygienic Handling, Storage and Processing of Meat and Meat Products” was also conducted in 4 batches for a period of three days each during 1st to 3rd, 4th to 6th, 15th to 17th and 18th to 20th July, 2019, respectively.

Dr. M. Muthukumar, Principal Investigator of the Agribusiness Incubator at ICAR-NRCM co-ordinated the training programmes.
