Krishival Foods, the listed FMCG company behind the Krishival dry fruits and nuts brand and Melt N Mellow ice cream, has reported a sharp rise in profitability for the second quarter of FY27, with earnings growing more than twice as fast as sales.

Consolidated revenue from operations rose 28 per cent year on year to Rs 85.66 crore. EBITDA climbed 64 per cent to Rs 13.87 crore, and the EBITDA margin widened to 16 per cent from 12 per cent in the same quarter last year. For the first half of the year, revenue grew 50 per cent and EBITDA 63 per cent.

Ice cream was the standout. The division's revenue jumped 65 per cent to Rs 22.50 crore from Rs 13.62 crore a year earlier. The healthy snacks business, the company's larger segment, grew 19 per cent to Rs 63.16 crore from Rs 53.03 crore.

Chairman and Whole-Time Director Sujit Bangar said the company was pleased that EBITDA growth had run well ahead of revenue growth in the quarter.

The numbers stand out in a season when many larger food companies are reporting strong sales but thinner margins as input costs rise. Krishival's mix of premium nuts and a fast-growing regional ice cream brand appears to be giving it pricing room that commodity-heavy players lack. The test for the coming quarters will be whether ice cream growth holds up outside the summer peak.
