FSSAI holds brainstorming sessions on sidelines of two-day Global Millets Conference
The event concluded with good presentations and pitches followed by discussion among investors
Six food startups participated in the FundQuest, an initiative of RampUp Advisory LLP & Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium scale Business (CASMB), that took place on 23rd September 2022 at Fi India & Hi 2022 in Bengaluru.
RampUp Advisory, founded in 2020, provides advice to startups and SMEs to be fundable and funding ready so that the fund raise process smoothens. CASMB works closely with stakeholders for the advancement of micro, small and medium scale businesses.
The startups which presented their pitches included LD foods which focuses on the serious issue that we face nowadays that is perishability of fruits & vegetables in the market. Vinod Jobanputra, CEO, explained how they have come with a solution to keep alive nutrition in food & vegetables by drying them at affordable prices.
Shaivaa Algaetech came up with the idea to tackle the challenge of providing sustainable food & nutrition using micro-algae, while Jawari Company focused on promoting nutrition by providing millet based foods.
Farmer Goods are currently working on value addition to the produced goods, and Beekay’s are serving a wide range of baked & fried snacks, along with exotic ice-cream flavours, pastries, pastas, pizzas and frozen desserts.
Zazen Systems, a manufacturer of freezers & chillers with energy optimisation by using solar energy and DC power are developing innovative products that are energy efficient, gives faster cooling and fast charging of the devices.
Fi India & Hi 2022 co-located with Propak India is an event conducted and solely dedicated to food ingredients in India. It was held from 21- 23 September 2022 at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre and was attended by more than 8,000 attendees and 200+ exhibitors.
