The Coronavirus Pandemic has exerted a heavy boom worldwide, especially on the doctors and the ones who are working in the frontline in fighting this virus. Covid19 is the biggest challenge the world has faced since world war 2. Until now, there are a total of 49,391 cases in India out of which 14,183 have recovered from the virus. Various precautions have been taken worldwide for the prevention of this virus, like staying at home, washing hands for 20 seconds, covering the mouth with the mask, social distancing inside and outside of the house, and not touching the eyes or face. Despite that, if someone feels symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty in breathing then make sure to consult with a doctor immediately. 

A single cascade of virus particles enters the body through the nose, mouth or eyes. This virus gets inside the cells of your body and then hijacks them. People with weak immune systems are most vulnerable to Covid19, such people should take extra precautions to protect themselves. Many reasons weaken our immune systems like smoking and drinking which have the most negative impact on our immune system and can cause permanent damage to our lungs. Furthermore, people with health conditions like diabetes, pneumonia, asthma, diabetes, and heart disease are vulnerable to COVID-19. So, one of the most vital steps to combat the onslaught of the virus is to robust our immune system and not engage in activities like smoking and vaping. Here are some of the measures that can help in boosting immunity.

 

Get enough Sleep

A night of good sleep and immunity is interlinked. People having inadequate or poor sleep are more susceptible to sickness. An adult body should get 7 or 8 hours of sleep at night and a kid should get 14 hours. People are likely to have trouble sleeping at night because of constantly working in front of mobile and laptop screens and by watching TV. So, you should limit your time in front of screens which may disrupt your circadian rhythm or your body’s natural wake-sleep cycle.

 

Eat Healthy and more whole plant foods

Eating a healthy diet is most important not only for building immunity but for almost everything. Whole plant foods like fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, legumes and lentils are rich in antioxidants and nutrients. Nutritional deficiencies in our body making it more susceptible to viruses and bacteria. Citrus fruits, red bell peppers, garlic, ginger, almonds, turmeric, green tea, papaya, and poultry are the best foods that can help you to increase the immune system. 

 

Exercising 

Exercising and working out are the best ways to reduce body weight and this might also be a great help in rebuilding that weak immunity. Although prolonged and intense workout even suppresses your immune system. A single session of moderate exercise can bring a huge impact on your life. Cycling, jogging, running, Cardio exercises, Dancing, Yoga, Meditation are some moderate exercises you can do at home.

Some tips that can help you boost your immune system to fight COVID-19.

  2. Maintain a healthy lifestyle 
  3. Drinking of Alcohol should be in moderation 
  4. Get an adequate amount of sleep
  5. Eat fresh fruits and juices
  6. Eat more and more green and leafy vegetables 
  7. Do not take the stress
  8. Exercising is important 
  9. Take special care of infants, pregnant ladies and old age people in your home; they are all the most vulnerable of Coronavirus.
  10. It can also take herbs and supplements to enhance your immunity.
